Being Presence

Join Monk George Lopez, Friar Sandy Pires, and Stephanie Sword as they explore the theme "Being Presence". How can we walk, react, and simply be like Jesus in a world that doesn't always understand Him? George, Sandy, and Stephanie will share stories, readings, and discuss how they hold the Divine presence in their lives. George Lopez is a monk with Celebrating Life Ministries and is also blessed to be a part of the music ministry for CLM. Sandy Pires serves as Friar within Celebrating Life Ministries, and as a teacher at The Foundation For Spiritual Development. Stephanie Sword has been a part of the CLM student program since 2018 and always looks to go deeper in her relationship with God.

Brother Craig Rippens became a professed Brother in the Spirit of Peace Monastic Community of the Saint Benedict Order in 2020; in his retirement, Craig is focused on a simple life of worship, prayer, and contemplation.

The Unknown Is Our Doorway

Join Monk Ryan Rigoli, Monk Thomas Hildebrand, and Alexandra Velickovic for an evening of healing prayer exploring the topic, ‘The Unknown is Our Doorway.’
How do we keep an open heart and mind in the face of uncertainty? 
It’s common to feel anxious, exposed, or intimidated when we don’t know what lies next –– in a relationship, with our health or that of a loved one, in a job, with the state of the world, or even simply in conversation with someone who has an entirely different point of view. Yet by allowing ourselves to become intimate with the space of not knowing (not needing to know, be right, or have all the answers), we can develop a Heart that is truly open to what God is drawing us towards and calling forth within us on how to respond to life, and to others. In essence, a Heart that is able to connect to a higher dimension of our Being is one where grace has an entrypoint into our lives.
Join us for an evening of prayer where our guests share personal experiences, quotes, and readings on how keeping an open Heart in the midst of uncertainty opens the doorway to deep healing, inner transformation, and a space of all possibilities. Ryan Rigoli is a Professed Monk and Musician in Celebrating Life where he shares God’s healing Presence through devotional music, prayer, and wisdom rooted in the Heart. Thomas Hildebrand is a professed Monk and student with CLM; he is also a novice in FSD, where he has been taking classes since 2007. Alexandra Velickovic is a student at CLM and a co-teacher at the Foundation for Spiritual Development.
